Common questions
1How do Time In and Time Out work?
Students must be near the Clinical Instructor and detect the correct attendance host through Bluetooth for both Time In and Time Out. Each action is recorded separately for the assigned duty schedule.
2How does Bluetooth attendance work?
Bluetooth must be enabled on both devices. The Clinical Instructor starts the attendance host, and the student scans for that instructor's signal.
3Will the Clinical Instructor's location be tracked?
No. NurseLINK does not track or store the Clinical Instructor's GPS location.
4What if there is no internet connection?
Offline attendance can continue when the required account and schedule information was already loaded on the devices. Queued records synchronize after reconnection.
5What if a student's phone is dead, lost, or broken?
The Clinical Instructor can record that student's Time In and Time Out from Duty Attendance. A reason is required.
6What if the Clinical Instructor starts hosting late?
The system records the actual attendance time. A student with a valid reason may submit an appeal.
7What if the correct Clinical Instructor signal cannot be found?
Confirm the correct instructor is hosting, Bluetooth permissions are enabled, and both devices are nearby.
8What happens if a student Times In late?
The corresponding late-attendance extension is applied. A student with a valid reason can submit an appeal.
9What is Early Attendance Submission?
This is when the Clinical Instructor submits attendance before the scheduled duty ends. A reason is required.
10What is a Student Appeal?
A Student Appeal lets a student report an attendance issue. The assigned Clinical Instructor recommends a decision, then the appropriate higher role makes the final decision.
